Bad press from bad management

When Brasil 1 decided to fire Adrienne Cahalan they should have worked out a communication strategy and sell it to all involved parties before the press got wind of it. Now they have an extremely bad case to communicate:
1. They have kicked out the only female in the race
2. They are in second place overall so her calls can't have been that bad
3. The skipper Torben Grael didn't have the balls to give her the bad news him self
4. The two parties in the meeting didn't go out the door with the same conception of what really happend, and...
5. She told the media her side of the story first.

Good PR? Definitely not.
Want to be a part of a team that treats people that way? It would take some serious persuasion.
